How many spices do you really need?

Most recipes call for anywhere between two to six spices. In the West, the typical spice rack has about ten spices in it. However, when I travel abroad, Incense powder I always cook with spices that I would never normally use in India. It’s a great way to learn about the food and culture of a country.
